On this page you can download a copy of the guidance document as it currently stands, and also provide feedback via the online survey if you would like. The deadline for all feedback is 22nd December 2015.

The document will be amended as necessary in the new year and the final version will be published publicly online in March/April 2016. The structure of the guidance document is very fixed and rigid (aligning to the requirements of the wider programme) but we hope we have produced a document that will help UK fire and rescue services improve their policies and procedures for wildfire.

Of course the new national operational guidance document will be applied across the UK and sits alongside/complements the more detailed guidance document produced by the Scottish Government in October 2013.
