This workshop was held in Arcachon, near Bordeaux, in Western France. The recommendations made by the specialists during the workshop have been taken into account by the FRISK-GO project in particular when designing an operational business plan for a future European Forest Risk Facility.

The kick-off workshop of the start-up project for a European Forest Risk Facility held on 14 January 2014 in Freiburg was the occasion for the project experts to define the European Forest Risk Facility's role and plan the 5 thematic workshops that will pave the way for the implementation of a European risk facility and its liaison unit.
